Mekia Hearn is the Executive Director and Founder of Silver Spoons, Inc. She began her career as a classroom teacher in Memphis, TN. She has worked as a Reading Educational Consultant to schools and districts throughout the Southeast. A lifelong educator, Mekia saw a need to create an organization to help others conquer the interview process and become successful in achieving the employment they desire.

Mekia has worked for more than 20 years in the field of education and continues in her current professional capacity to promote the education of our youth. It is her belief that education and the ability to acquire knowledge is the greatest equalizer we can provide to children.

Vinetta Washington is an independent consultant who brings expertise in nonprofit operations, development, grant writing,sales and marketing to the Board of Directors. Vinetta is a longtime proponent of social equity for all and is actively involved with several organizations that collectively work towards this goal. Additionally, she believes education is a key component in building the foundation needed to successfully compete in our society.

Dr. Michelle Hoy-Watkins is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 20 years of experience providing clinical, forensic, and police, and public safety psychological services. She is the President and Founder of MHW PsychLaw Services, a private practice committed to delivering high-quality criminal forensic and police psychological assessment and consultative services.

Michelle Wimberly is the owner of Hyde Park Express Employment Professionals in Chicago, IL. She is committed to working in the community and facilitating a positive outcome. In her free time, Michelle dedicates countless hours of service across the organizations she belongs to. An accomplished marathon runner, she strongly believes in preparation, commitment and hard work.
